Self Portrait Trilogy ‘Nr I.’ , ‘Nr II.’ and ‘Nr III.’ - 2015 - sold

I was showing these three pieces at RAM Foundation in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Below my artist statement that goes along with these pieces:

“Taking it apart, assembling it back together. Three shapes in different materials, different assemblages, various ways of attachment. Balancing, folding themselves in different angles, loose ends, temporary connections. They resemble how I change due to circumstances, how I connect and adapt. Balancing, redefining myself. My deepest self remains the same, just as the building stones of these pieces. But I harden and soften, break and mend. Balance is a perpetual movement. Searching for it is a continuous fine tuning of the self.”
